Expert says: Mayans did not predict end of the world in 2012 – Did So! – says rest of the world – Not telling says God…

December 2, 2011

Maybe I did, Maybe I didn't...

I’m not telling, Ha Ha.

A Liechtensteinianianin archaeologist Sven Groningmorer of La Trobll University in Australia, says he has been studying Mayan tablets in reference to 2012. The archaeologist says the tablets do not predict the end of the world, just the beginning of a new era/cycle. According to Groningmorer, the inscriptions refer to the end of a cycle of 5,125 years beginning with the year 3113 B.C. in the Mayan Long Count Calendar. The Mayan short Count Calendar only has 3 – days in it and no one knows why. The Tortuguero inscription was a prophecy of Bahlam Ajaw a Mayan ruler a long time ago, (no relation to Jahlam Ajaw of the Apocalyptic rock group; 3113 BC) who says the name just came to him one day while he was reading about the Mayan short Count Calendar. He said; “you know maybe it’s just my bad luck or somethin”. According to Groningmorer: “For the elite of Tortuguero, it was clear they had to prepare the land for the return of the god so they just made their best guess.” According to Mayan belief; Bolon Yokte was the god of creation and war, (figures) and the day of his return to the sanctuary was marked with a ritual rite of passage for the god, i.e. him. Said: Groningmorer, according to Groningmorer.”The date acquired a symbolic value because it is seen as a reflection of the day of creation. It is the passage of a god and not necessarily a great leap for humanity.”
